Volunteering for Firework Night 2023

Firework Night 2023

It’s that exciting time of the year again when our club gears up for the grandest event on our calendar – Firework Night! This year promises to be even more spectacular than the last, as we bring you a dazzling display of fireworks choreographed to the theme of ‘A Night at the Movies’. And here’s a little extra incentive: don’t miss the chance to flaunt your creativity because the best adult costume at our fancy dress contest wins a fantastic prize of £50 bar credit on their membership card!

But Firework Night is more than just a dazzling show; it’s a crucial lifeline for our club’s finances during the winter months when the number of spectators dwindles. The funds generated from this event play a significant role in keeping our beloved club vibrant and thriving.

To make this event a roaring success, we need the support of our amazing community. We have a variety of stalls and support roles that require enthusiastic volunteers. Our top priority is ensuring everyone’s safety, so we need dedicated individuals to serve as marshals and man the fence lines. Additionally, we need help with rubbish collection on Sunday morning to clear the grounds for our junior players and volunteers to operate the stalls that contribute to our income. Without these volunteers, we might have to rely on external vendors, which could substantially reduce our profits.

We urge each and every one of you to step forward and lend a helping hand. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference. And here’s the best part: adult volunteers will receive a complimentary family ticket to enjoy the evening or can choose to swap this for a single adult ticket to our upcoming Comedy Night.

Moreover, if an entire age group commits to running a stall, their group will be rewarded with £300 in funding for rugby equipment. It’s a win-win situation where your efforts directly benefit our club and the players who make us proud on the field.

To get involved, email your availability to the events team at events@narfc.co.uk  and let us know which shift(s) you can commit to as soon as possible. The LIST is also available to view in the Clubhouse.

Let’s unite, show our community spirit, and make Firework Night 2023 an unforgettable evening for everyone.

Thank you for your continued support, and here’s to another successful event!
