One Community
The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention
Newton Abbot Rugby Club would like to say a huge thank you to its partners and sponsors over the club’s most challenging period in its recent history.
As a club, what we do for the community is essential to our #OneCommunity ethos. We are incredibly passionate to communicate that we are not just a rugby club; we are a community hub.
Over the past 12 months, we have seen so many outstanding achievements and acts of kindness from Our Club’s fantastic community.
Here are some of our accomplishments:
- We opened our Kitchens to HITS (Homeless In Teignbridge Support), so they could provide food for the most vulnerable.
- We are also incredibly proud of our Senior men’s team, their wives and a player from Brixham RFC who helped deliver the meals across the whole of Teignbridge.
- Newton Abbot Rugby Club provided free school meals in line with Marcus Rashford’s campaign. We had a considerable amount of financial support from the local community. In turn, we provided a massive amount of support to local families.
- Local businesses and the financial support generated from the free school meals provided enough funding to supply over 70 families Christmas hampers.
- Along with helping Andy’s Man Club of Plymouth arrange its temporary location at Plymouth Albion. We also are now hosting Andy’s man club at Newton Abbot Rugby Club Headquarters.
Without the support of our Members and Commercial Partners none of this would be possible.
