NARFC v Cullompton 30/10/2021

October 31, 2021

After 4 away games on the bounce it was great to be back a Rackerhayes , also had the rare opportunity to play on the main “Westaway Sausages” pitch with no other senior sides playing at home.

This weeks opposition Cullompton were quickest out the blocks, with a well worked try after 10 mins of play 0-7.
After a quick chat behind the posts the lads came out with a different mind set and went on to score 2 converted tries before half time ,with forwards and backs both dominating the majority of the first half .

HT 14-7

Newton started the second half as they had finished the first scoring 2 converted tries in quick succession, 28-7. Next it was Cullys turn to get on the scoreboard with an unconverted try.

28-12.

After a another quick chat about silly penalties Newton came back fighting with two more tries to finish the game 40-12.
Some outstanding play with one of the strongest displays of the season.

Special mention goes to Jay Barnes for stepping up to fill in the fly half position and scoring 1 try and 5 conversions.

Next weekend sees us back on the road for a highly anticipated return fixture against Torquay RFC .
