18th January 2024

Burnham-on-Sea vs All Whites,

What a thrilling match it was as our All Whites faced off against Burnham on Sea in a nail-biting relegation battle! The excitement was palpable, and the young squad’s performance showcased the immense talent and potential brewing within our club.

With 12 out of the 18 players under the age of 22, our All Whites are proving that the future is undeniably bright for NARFC. The commitment, resilience, and skill displayed on the field against Burnham on Sea demonstrated that we are on a promising path forward.

The match unfolded with early pressure from the home side, but thanks to solid defence and swift play at the breakdown, Newton surged upfield, securing the first score of the day. Fullback Toby Pascoe dazzled with a beautiful move down the blind side, crossing in the corner to set the tone for an action-packed game.

Despite Burnham on Sea’s efforts, Newton answered with penalties and well-executed plays. A standout moment came when Reuben Brinkley’s try extended our lead, marking a confident 13-22 advantage at halftime.

The second half saw even more brilliance from the All-Whites, with Jay Barnes seizing an opportunity and scoring under the posts. Burnham on Sea fought back valiantly, closing the gap, but our determined squad held their ground.
